My Statement of Faith

     Faith is more than religion. It's about a personal relationship between you and God.  There are thousands of people who by word of mouth claim to be a Christian when in fact, their faith is based on nothing more than a name on a membership role somewhere, a baptism certificate from their infancy or a desire to be numbered as a Christian because they were born in supposedly Christian nation.  Many claim Jesus to be Lord and Savior and yet they refuse to live and speak appropriately.  Many claim to be Christians because they do good works and put money into the offering when it passes before them.   This makes either God a liar or you are a liar. Hebrews 6:18, "...in which it is impossible for God to lie..." so God being the liar is out of the question!

  Ephesians 2:8, 9, "For by grace are ye saved by faith; and not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast."

     If works, membership, baptism, money or anything short of accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, and then living in a way that is pleasing to Him makes you a Christian, then you really need to examine the Word of God instead of the 'church doctrine' that you have been taught.

     My books, my preaching and my speaking, I strongly address the Truth of God's Word and a true relationship with the One True God and His Son, Jesus Christ.

     Over the last thirty five years or so, I have grown to appreciate my relationship with Jesus more than ever before. I have made my blunders but have grown to realize that what proceeds out of my mouth, what deeds that I do and what lifestyle I choose is where my heart is in God and where my faith in Jesus Christ is.  When I played the game church, and I did that for a short while, it was about the unholy threesome, "Me, Myself and I."  But I soon learned that when I chose to be the helm of my life, God could only sit by and watch me self-destruct.  When I surrendered totally to Him, my life changed dramatically.  I no longer needed to be in total control.  All I could do was go from one mess to another.  With God at the helm, I could watch Him win victory after victory as I grew in spiritual strength.  Did bad things happen? Sure, but with God leading the way, it was so much easier to pursue my daily life.

     Holiness is what God has called us to.  I don't ask anybody to take my word for it so here is what the Word of God has to say;

     Leviticus 11:45, "I am the LORD who brought you up out of Egypt to be your God; therefore, be holy because I am holy."

     Five times, it says in Leviticus that we should be holy because God is holy.  Yes, that is in the Old Testament.  For those who don't think that the Old Testament is valid for today, so let's look at this;

    1 Peter 1:15-16, "But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written, "Be holy because I am holy."

    I'm not a legalistic individual in my doctrines.  I just take God's Word at face value.  Examine my teachings, compare them, with the Word of God.  If I am wrong, I'll be the very first to apologize, repent and correct my error, however, if you are wrong, will you be as willing to change?
